Soap can be technical, oh yes!

Lots of sweat and tears went into trying this triple layer goodness last night!

I won't include this in my Botanical Soap Making course yet as I think it's not very beginner friendly and I don't wanna overwhelm my students!

But I am thinking about posting it to those who complete the course if they want to challenge themselves! I just need to film it again as I lost the footage!

Can't believe it's almost time for the big launch, I spent the day going over everything today and to see if anything's missing, excited is an understatement for how I feel today ❤️

- No, this course is ideal for beginners or for people with little soap making experience.

2. Do you teach hot process or cold process method?

- It is cold process method.

2. Can I use kitchen tools?

- Yes, you can use what you already have like stick blender, bowls, kitchen scale, even a cake loaf tin instead of buying soap moulds to start with.

But you will need a digital thermometer and a face mask and goggles of some sort to handle lye safely.

3. Is it safe?

- Yes, you’ll learn lye safety in detail, I prepared a full PDF Guide on Lye Safety & Handling

4. Do I need special oils?

- I use common ones like olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, sunflower oil which you can find in any supermarket.

For some recipes I will use sweet almond oil, avocado oil, apricot kernel oils, shea butter, cocoa butters but don't worry these are pretty easy to get hold of on Amazon or from wholesalers which I have provided a list for US, UK and Canada.

I have also provided a Oils Substitutions PDF Guide, so if you can't get hold of some, you can substitute them with what you have.

This soap is so special.

Do you wanna know why?

I've infused bay, rosemary, lavender and olive leaf in olive oil first.

I then used bay, peppermint & rosemary and infused them in tea.

So it has double goodness.

I used olive oil, coconut oil, apricot kernel oil and some jojoba oil.

I haven't use any essential oils for this soap as I love the natural scent of soap especially when it is infused with so many botanicals.

The colour came out as a soft light brown/beige, reminds me of all the earthy colours.

Soap shouldn't be about fancy colours or fancy scents, it should be natural and it should benefit our skins.

This is why this soap is so special.
